A Pair of Podiums in Poland

ZFW Fencing Club took its largest contingent to Europe's premier fencing competition for children, and returned home with two medals.

'Challenge Wratislavia', held in the historic Polish city of Wroclaw, was celebrating its 40th anniversary year. The tournament attracts the best young fencers from across Europe and beyond, including the USA, Egypt and India.

Whilst all ten of our travelling warriors put in credible performances in fields of between 150 and 230 children , the outstanding results were in the Under 11 girls' and boys' categories, where Amelie Tsang an David Sosnov won Bronze medals, both losing to the eventual winners in their respective semi-finals.
